Transient Merchants and Food Trucks

In Scio Township, by Ordinance (Chapter 12, Article ll Transient Merchants) a Transient Merchant License is required for all Peddlers and Solicitors and must be obtained by any person who travels from place to place, for the purpose of displaying, offering for sale, taking orders for sale or future delivery, selling, or leasing with the option to buy, any goods, property or services. The Clerk’s office issues a Permit to an applicant when a complete application has been submitted. This information is also shared with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office for their awareness of Township permitted activities.

Application Fee: $50.00

License Fee per month of transient operation: $25.00
