Business Resources

For new and expanding businesses and for sign installation

Are you opening a new business within an existing structure?  Are you expanding operations at an existing business?  Are you interested in installing a sign?  Any of these actions require submittal of a zoning compliance/sign permit.  Zoning compliance/sign permit applications are reviewed administratively and are typically completed within 7-10 business days.  Zoning compliance approval must be obtained through the Township prior to applying for required building or trade permits at the Washtenaw County Building Department.  The Township also offers zoning verification letter drafting for businesses, which is often required by lenders or insurance companies.
